Guangdong has maintained its position as the national leader in the production of marine fish fry and shrimp fry for seven consecutive years. In 2024, the province's output of marine fish fry reached 6.796 billion, accounting for nearly half of the national total. Up to now, Guangdong has successfully cultivated 18 nationally approved new marine species.
In Yangxi County, Yangjiang, a complete industrial chain has been established. In 2024, the county's annual output of marine fish fry reached approximately 3.31 billion, with an output value of around 700 million yuan, accounting for 48.7% of Guangdong's total, making it the largest production base of marine fish fry in China.
Jiangmen is making headlines with its advanced aquaculture vessel. In May, the "Bay Area Lingding" was launched in Jiangmen. With a cultivation volume of nearly 80,000 cubic meters, equivalent to 32 standard swimming pools, it is expected to produce 5,000 tons of fish annually.
Guangdong also leads the nation in typhoon-resistant aquaculture net cage technology, with a total of 6,396 gravity deep-water cages built, ranking first in China.
Zhanjiang hosts 33% of the province's national-level aquatic seed farms. At the same time, the city is vigorously developing deep-sea aquaculture and marine equipment manufacturing. Aquaculture platforms such as "Haiwei", "Hengyi", "Zhannong" and "Zhanjiang Bay" have been launched successively, with deep-sea aquaculture cages accounting for 54% of Guangdong's total.
Guangdong has also implemented several national-level advantageous and characteristic industrial clusters, including golden pompano clusters in Zhanjiang and Zhuhai, oyster clusters in Zhanjiang, Yangjiang, Jiangmen and Foshan, and sea bass clusters in Zhuhai, driving the in-depth development of three 20-billion-yuan-level industrial chains.

在广东，海水鱼类苗种产量、虾苗产量等连续7年稳居全国首位，2024年广东海水鱼苗产量达67.96亿尾，约占全国一半。目前，广东已累计培育国家审定海水新品种18个。
阳江阳西已形成了完整产业链。2024年，全县海水鱼苗年产量约33.1亿尾、年产值约7亿元，海水鱼苗数量占全省48.7%，是全国最大的海水种苗生产基地。
江门的“海工重器”令人瞩目。5月，“湾区伶仃号”在江门下水。这个海上“巨无霸”拥有近8万立方米的养殖空间，水量相当于32个标准游泳池，预计可年产5000吨鱼。
广东的抗风浪网箱等技术全国领先，已累计建成重力式深水网箱6396个，数量居全国第一。
湛江国家级水产良种场数量占全省33％。与此同时，湛江大力发展深远海养殖及装备制造，“海威”“恒燚”“湛农”“湛江湾”等养殖平台相继下水，深海养殖网箱占全省54％。
广东在湛江、珠海实施金鲳鱼国家级优势特色产业集群，在湛江、阳江、江门、佛山实施生蚝国家级优势特色产业集群，在珠海实施海鲈国家级优势特色产业集群，推动3条两百亿级的产业链纵深发展。
